SkovARTparken

The art installation is a series of bigger and smaller pipes (made by reusable material) emitting green lights. It is set up in a part of the city in Kolding, that houses  underprivileged citizens in an effort to get them closer with the community. The artist, Sundien and I also worked with kids from the area and had a few lectures with the kids to teach them about music, production and art.

The sound pipes holds a circuit that contain one of five different ambient pieces, which get turned on/off with the press of a button. The mechanism was soldered by Sundien and I. The Ambient piece was made with the intention of mixing nature and the city together. We did this by sampling “nature sounds” (hitting trees and recording wind) and adding digital elements like the bass and arpeggiator.
