Kolding Castle in Flames

The podcast was created for an exam project. During the process i had many different touch points, and had to have many hats on at specific times, depending on what was important.

At the start i was planning the project and the structure of the storytelling. The main focus was on telling the story in an interesting manner to keep the listener engaged and informed at the same time.

Afterwards i produced the jingle. The sound was created in a way that the main instrument can be changed to another one without losing it’s character. This can be useful to make the sound fit a potential other episode about another historical event – for example change the guitar to a viola.

When that was settled, I set out to interview our expert and visit the actual historical site. This helped me get my thoughts and first impressions on tape, so the listener felt more connected as we went on the same journey together. When we found our literature to be read up, I did sound design under it to give it more impact and to immerse the listener in the world and universe more.
